Spooky Season aka Gamma Season

The weather is getting colder, the leaves have changed their colour - Fall is officially upon us 🍂

October has always been my favourite month, and this year it's all that more exciting with Gamma’s shipping deadline finally drawing near!

Gamma Shipping this Month 🤞

Is it finally time for Gamma to ship?? Let me catch you up to speed on where we’re at 👀

With the unfortunate delay of our thumbsticks in the last blog update (...still salty our thumbstick supplier did us dirty like that 🥲) we pushed the shipping timeline to October. Now that October is finally here we have a much better idea of when we’ll start shipping.

Okay, wen Gamma? 👉👈🥺

Our PCB supplier has received the thumbsticks and are finishing up assembly 🥳 They’ve told us assembly should complete on October 11th and will ship out to us early the week of October 13th.

Shipping from our PCB manufacturer typically takes about 1 week without customs delays, and up to 2 weeks if it gets held up coming into Canada.

Knowing this, we’re on track to ship out orders at the end of the month 🎃 You better believe that the second these arrive at our door we’ll be kicking it into high gear to get these built and shipped ASAP!

In the meantime, we’ll be working on our in-house building prep (3D printing jigs, triple checking part numbers, etc…), as well as last minute software testing/bug fixing.

Thank you again to everyone who has been patient with the pre-order process 🙏 We’re confident that by the next blog post we’ll be celebrating Gamma shipping out!

Gamma Batch 1 Almost Sold Out!

Timing can be funny sometimes - we crunched the numbers and it looks like we’ll be sold out of Batch 1 Gamma’s right around the time we start shipping (end of month).

If you’ve been thinking about ordering we highly recommend you get your pre-order in ASAP to be a part of Batch 1, as Batch 2 won’t be shipping until January 2026.

LC-1X+ ✨

A few months ago we announced that we’d be collaborating with Boomlights to bring their LC-1X+ MIDI controlled lighting solution to musicians worldwide.

We’re currently in talks with the team over at Boomlights to get everything on order and shipping ASAP. Right now it looks like we’ll start shipping near the end of the Fall season (late November).

In the meantime, you can check out the LC-1X+ manual to learn more about how the device works and how it could integrate into your setup for easy synchronized lighting over MIDI 🚥

Tariff Update 💸

As we mentioned in the last blog update, the US Administration decided to end the de minimis exemption for taxing goods under $800 USD. At the time, we didn’t really know how this would impact us, as we are based in Canada and our products were previously untaxed going to the USA under de minimis.

After discussing with our courier’s customs team we learnt that our products are CUSMA compliant - basically meaning that we get to avoid the up to 40% tariff (for now atleast 🤞).

There are unfortunately some new brokerage fees we need to pay per shipment - but for now our products prices will remain unchanged 🙂

Other TIN News

  • Huge thank you to the guys over at Music Tectonics for having us on their pre conference live event/start-up competition! We were honored to be chosen as a finalist to attend the in-person event in early November, which we unfortunately had to turn down due to scheduling conflicts. Best of luck to the other finalists! 🏆

  • We’re making a list of features we plan to add to Gamma via future software updates. We’d love to hear from anyone that may feel the device is missing crucial features 🤔 Here’s our contact info.

  • With the tariff situation being as shaky as it is, we’ll no longer be able to keep NMSVE/NM2 in stock over at Amazon. NMSVE is already sold out, but there should be a few NM2’s available. Get ‘em there while you still can! 🏃💨

TIN fun fact (the more you know 🌈🌠)

We took a while to figure out the brand design for this is NOISE inc. Check out a few of the different logo designs below (and what we settled on 🫶).
