Getting Started

Welcome to the official Gamma Mini Synth Manual

Thank you for purchasing a Gamma Mini Synth!

We put everything we had into creating this portable beast - we hope it inspires you the same way it inspired us to bring it to life 🫶

Basics

  • ☢️ Gamma is a mini synthesizer with a unique split key design, featuring 7 chords on the left and 7 corresponding notes on the right.
  • 🎶 The chords/notes are always in key, with the ability to change the key via the key selection encoder. This means anything you play will sound amazing! No wrong keys.
  • 🎛️ Above each set of keys are two knobs for controlling the notes or chords independently. These are mappable to many different parameters via the “Knob” menu.
  • ✨ On each side there is also a thumbstick which can be used to manipulate the notes or chords independently and on the fly. These can also be mapped via the “Stick” menu.
  • 👾 Meanwhile, the screen at the centre of the device is used to display critical information as well as your virtual pet.
  • ⚡ On the back side of the device you’ll find the power switch, USB C (charging/MIDI Out), and a 3.5mm AUX Out.
  • 🔊 Gamma comes equipped with a battery and two speakers (top and bottom firing), making it a fun portable device - great for on-the-go!

Charge your Gamma

Gamma's built-in battery comes with a partial charge out of the box.

To fully charge the device, simply plug it into a power source via USB C and the blue charging LED will illuminate (indicated by the ⚡ symbol on the top left side of the device).

Once Gamma is completely charged this blue charging LED will turn off.

Software Update

We regularly update Gamma's software, so you'll want to check and see if your unit is running the latest version.

To check what version you're on, navigate to "Version" within Gamma's menu system:

Main Menu -> System -> Info -> Version

How to Use the Menu

You can then check the Gamma Update Tool to see if there is a new version to install.

Where To Start

We recommend you start by playing around with the Presets to familiarize yourself with the core functionality of Gamma.

Click encoder to enter the menu and find Presets under “PRESETS”.
